CCS-PK notice of closure

Now that I have finished teaching I am closing the CCS-PK website and this weblog must close too. It will be updated normally while the site remains operational for one year in the event that anyone finds it useful. Then it will be archived and published elsewhere for my own use.

Posting date fixed in the future to keep this item at the top of the page.

I was unable to post this yesterday because it might have been unlucky ..... although some wicked people might suggest it was due to me playing 'Red Dead Redemption' online for double XP this weekend. Either way, apologies for the lateness and here's the link to the actual '10 Things' for 2010-08-13.

9th July 2010

What a great weekend this has been. You may ask why?

Here are just a few reasons :

  • some lovely warm weather down here
.. although it's been a bit too warm for me to be honest
  • the brilliant Penn & Teller on Jonathon Ross
.. and the new series of 'BS!' hits the mark
  • three exciting stages in the Tour de France
.. a couple or so climbs and the sprint finish back on Friday
  • F1 and the British Grand Prix remaining at a re-modelled Silverstone track
.. and karma indeed for "2nd driver" Webber
  • a fancy new D-Link wireless AP with ..... count 'em up ..... 3 aerials
.. the signal strength of the Edimax I got a couple of weeks ago was too variable
... and the DAP-1353 has four nice LEDs ..... gotta have those flashing lights
  • Spain winning the World Cup
.. Paul the Octopus got it right yet again ..... well done Paul
  • there was a total solar eclipse on Sunday
.. sadly it was only visible in the southern-most parts of the Pacific
  • and in just 10 days it will be 'Pi Approximation Day', ie. 22/7 ...
.. for people in the USA ... that's the way round that dates are intended to be read
... although the other way that I use in this blog is quite reasonable too
.... but putting the month first is just illogical

Never mind, back to more mundane matters, here's the '10 Things' for 2010-07-09.
