Choosing a password

This article from Google has some very useful, identity-saving, tips.
Car mosaic

Another mosaic - this example shows a 'retro' design that is reminscent of old-style 8-bit games graphics. It can easily be taken off or edited because it uses small magnetic squares.
Read about it and view more pictures here at Jalopnik. (Another link via Make blog.)
NOTE - use of a Prius is not compulsory.
Toolbox mosaic

A simple toolbox whch has been brightened up using paper scraps to create a mosaic design.
It shows the robot, Gort, from the film "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (1951 version)
The toolbox was decorated by Paul Overton. (Originally found via the Make blog.)

At the time of writing this article there is a great deal of discussion about a possible strike by members of the Communications Workers Union (CWU at Wikipedia) which has led me to think about the postal service in general.
The British Postal Museum & Archive is a site that "... makes the human story of communication, industry and innovation accessible ...". The site has many articles and online exhibitions connected with the Royal Mail and postal services.
The stamps above are from an exhibition titled "Gentleman on Stamps" which is about David Gentleman who has designed many stamps - 103 have been used and issued - since 1962.
NOTE - these stamps are from 1964 and the prices are from the days before decimalisation when money came in pounds, shillings and pence (£ s d).
NOTE 2 - since first writing this article I came across another "stamp" link - Physicists on stamps.
Drilling a square hole
You would use a Watt's drill - read about it here at Make.
Who knows ... you might need one when you decorate the bathroom with the Tetris tiles we posted about last week.

Giant pentagon puzzle
The "Magic Giant 12-surface IQ Pentagon" is a stunning puzzle - supposedly great for training both the left and right sides of the brain. The picture shows the state BEFORE it has been mixed up. Dare you try it.
