Half-term is often a good time to take a trip to the Zoo.

In this case it is the Galaxy Zoo. This site has been operating for a while now and at the beginning of this week relaunched itself with a new - yes, and improved - design.
It uses members of the public to look at and categorise some of the thousands of pictures captured by telescope - the picture at the top shows a typical question with a picture and some simple response buttons.
The information gathered from over 200,000 registered users has already led to a new understanding of galaxy development and evolution.
There is even the possibility that, if you take part, you might discover something new - just like Hanny Van Arkel, a Dutch schoolteacher.
