NBC television in the USA are bringing back "Knight Rider" which was first aired in the 1980's. The pictures above show the original and the proposed replacement. It appears to be a one-off made-for-TV movie for now but if reaction is good I expect they'll look to a brand new series as well.

'Popular Mechanics' have a page comparing the two vehicles. There are many readers comments which show the strength of feeling that even a tired old TV show can generate.

See you in 2008.

Lego Iron-Man

Iron-Man made in Lego

You might need a few more bits for Christmas if you want to make something like this over the holiday.

Very impressive though - see here for more of Arvo's work.

Tesla Down-Under

Tesla coils in action out back ....

WARNING - can be slow to load due to the large number of pictures on the main page.

This Australian citizen enjoys playing with the very high voltages generated by Tesla coils.

I suspect that having a decent-sized backyard helps as the neighbours might be a bit concerned if they saw this a few yards away over the garden fence in many British gardens.

Paul Smith and ASCII Art

Train picture by Paul Smith
Paul Smith created pictures - like the one above - by typing with just one hand. You can read about him at the 'Paul Smith Foundation' or jump direct to the picture gallery here.

Enfield Town FC logo

ASCII Art like Paul's is still going strong in the computer-age. For example, the Enfield Town F.C. logo on the left can be easily converted into an ASCII version at a site such as Glass Giant.

NOTE - click on the logo to see the ASCII art.
Read more about ASCII art via Wikipedia or try it out on the many sites thrown up by this Google search.
